The Queen of the Tetons

Born in 1996, Grizzly Bear 399 has been roaming the mountain of Grand Teton National Park for years. On a trip to the park I had many shots I wanted to capture. 399 was at the top of my list. One early morning I went out for a drive, and I came upon a “Bear Jam” A large group of us stood and waited patiently. Finally 399 and her cubs came strolling through the meadow. You could feel the excitement amongst all of the photographers, but the only sound you heard was the rapid clicks of the camera shutters.

If you happen to take a tip to Grand Teton National Park, keep an eye out for this beautiful lady.
