Every Leaf Is Special

Growing up in the northeast part of this great country, I learned to appreciate fall. Football season, cool weather, fresh air. It is the best! Autumn is by far my favorite season of the year. Fall out west is different. Snow may arrive prior to trick or treaters hitting the street  Prior to moving to Colorado, I was not aware of the magic of the Aspens. These trees are a treat for your senses. The bright and vivid colors light up the landscape. When you walk through an aspen grove the colors and smell captivate you. But my favorite thing about this experience is the sound. Just close your eyes and listen. Listen for the sound of aspen leaves trembling in the breeze. They make a special whispering sound as the paper-like leaves rustle together.

The aspen glow will only last a few weeks each fall. If you get a chance to experience it, you will have memories that will last a lifetime.
