Escape To The Mountains
Escapism
Escapism can come in many forms, each offering its own unique retreat from the daily grind. Perhaps you find it when you’re deeply engrossed in an enthralling movie, or maybe when you’re endlessly scrolling through amusing and uplifting videos on Instagram. It’s that delightful feeling you experience when you manage to lift yourself out of the here and now, transporting your mind to somewhere else – a place that feels infinitely better for your mental well-being. I’ve always thought of escapism as a purely beneficial thing; it’s definitely something we all need every now and then to recharge and rejuvenate.
For me, my personal escape has always been found in the great outdoors. Whether it’s a rejuvenating hike, a soothing walk, or a leisurely drive down a charming old dirt road, just getting out there, away from everyday life, is what I truly crave. My favorite escape has invariably been the mountains. There’s something incredibly special about them that brings me an overwhelming sense of peace and calmness, allowing me to simply sit, look, and be present. It’s in those moments that I let go of my everyday troubles and stress, fully immersing myself in the breathtaking beauty of the vistas surrounding me. I vividly remember a particular day I spent in Rocky Mountain National Park when I captured this photo. I sat at that stunning location for hours, just listening to the gentle river flowing by, taking in the majestic views of the mountains around me. There wasn't a single person nearby, no cell service interrupting my tranquility—just the soothing sounds of nature all around. My heartfelt advice to everyone is to find that special place where you can truly escape and be yourself, and to make it a point to visit whenever you can, even if it’s just for a little bit of precious time.
