I’m Watching You

Hawks are wise birds that soar gracefully, have incredible eyesight, and exude confidence and power. Hawk represents clear vision and deep understanding and has a keen sense of where it is going. It can also represent intelligence, adaptability, courage, fierceness, and loyalty. Hawks are instinctual creatures and act based on their needs. They’re unapologetically themselves, doing what they know to be right and true for them. Hawks are great reminders to trust yourself.

I remember the day I shot this photograph. I got up early, drove to the mountains.  Apparently all of the animals in nature were hiding from me. I came out of the mountains and went to a few of my spots. Locations where I always see birds flying around.   Once again nothing.  I was disappointed and headed home. As I pulled into my development I noticed a hawk perched high on a lightpost.  My camera was out and ready. I got out of the car and fired away.  The hawk just stared at me. I remember looking up into his eyes. His eyes were captivating. Showing his confidence and strength. My interaction only lasted about 15 minutes before the hawk flew off. This turned a bad day of photography into a great one.
