Reflection

Conditions have to be just right to get a perfect reflection in the water. Everything has to be still. No movement in the water from fish or insects. No wind. No precipitation. Just clean, calm conditions. When you get conditions like this, you are able to get amazing shots. Crisp, clear, no disturbance. You not only get a clear vision of your subject, but a clear vision of the opposite view.

When I take shots like this I try to make myself think and reflect in the same way. Reflect on something personal in my life. I try to stay calm. No distractions. No disturbances. Because in an instance, just like when I am trying to take the picture, one small disturbance, and that clear view is gone.

This image was shot on a cool July morning. a few minutes after I took this photo a slight breeze began to blow. That calm, mirror like lake was now gone. Still beautiful, just with some ripples.
