Stand Out From the Rest

There is a life lesson we have all been taught. If you can find a way to stand out, chances are you'll be more successful. People are drawn to those who are different and unique, so if you can set yourself apart from the rest, you'll be more likely to achieve your goals. If you got it, you got it. So show off your skills 

This thought came to mind while I was driving around Rocky Mountain National Park in late fall.  Leaves have started to fall. Some trees have lost them all and are standing in the forest naked, getting ready for the long cold Colorado winter. There were still a few trees hanging on. Most were small or had very little leaves. Then I came upon the subject of this picture. This tree was doing it’s best to stand out in a crowd of darkness. It was still full of leaves. And the leaves were vibrant. Full of color. It was truly “Showing Off” and I was very glad it was. In a week or two, it will look just as sad as the others. But on that day, that moment. It was shining like the brightest star in the sky.
