A Nice Reward

If you have ever hiked above the tree line, you know it can be exhausting. But when you reach that summit, and you see that view, the reward makes it worth it.

When I saw this bull elk at the top of Rocky Mountain National Park, I could only imagine how long his “hike” was that day. He deserved this reward. To lay down, take a load off, and enjoy this majestic view. It taught me a nice lesson. You work hard to get someplace, to accomplish something. When you get there, it is ok to enjoy your success.

I felt very lucky to get this photograph. For a few moments in time, it felt like I was enjoying this scene with this bull. Sharing in this accomplishment. Taking a few minutes in time to Lookout, and appreciate the incredible view.
